Helen Louise Brandt's Obituary
Helen Louise “Weezy” Meisenhelder Brandt, 73, of Newark, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022 at The Inn at Chapel Grove in Heath, Ohio.
Born October 15, 1948 in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Dorothy (Bay) Meisenhelder and was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Bellaire, Ohio. Helen was an administrative assistant for Alltel Telephone Company for 20 years and was later a closing coordinator for Thayer Power and Communications. She was a member of Licking Valley Church of Christ and she enjoyed bowling, square dancing and camping. Helen was always very generous and gave much of her time to various charities. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Julia (Jon) Holtz of Newark and Samuel (Angela) Brandt of Ashville, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Alexis (Dalton) Luther, Gage Holtz and Mikayla Holtz, and great-granddaughter Ivy Luther. Also surviving is her brother Ralph “Buck” Meisenhelder of Frazeysburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister in-law, Michael and Jill Meisenhelder.
Helen’s family want to give a very special thanks to the staff of Hearth Brook of Newark, The Inn at Chapel Grove and Hospice of Central Ohio for the great care given to her.
Calling hours will be from 5pm to 6pm Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 6:00pm Thursday at the funeral home with Minister Gus Andrews officiating. Private interment will be at Irville Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
