Hazel R. Williams' Obituary
Hazel R. Williams, 99, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday morning, January 23, 2019 at Adams Lane Care Center in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born June 18, 1919 in Dresden, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Russell and Janie (Birkhimer) Swope and was a 1937 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a former employee of the Ohio Plastics Company of Frazeysburg.
Surviving is one daughter, Roberta Tapley of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Chester Williams whom she married April 18, 1949 and who died October 7, 1999; a son Michael Williams who died February 2, 2000; a brother, Robert Swope and four sisters, Mabel Swope, Marjorie Johnston, Doris Harper and Lucille Newman.
Calling hours will be 11am to 1pm Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Memorial services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Mesnard officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
