Hazel M. Touvell's Obituary
A graveside memorial service for Hazel M. Touvell, 93 of Newark will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Joanna Samuelson officiating.
Hazel passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 17, 1925 in Newark to William H. and Mildred A. (Dorsey) Thompson.
She was a member of the VFW #1060 Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered for 30 years at the Bingo events. She enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling to the casinos. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (James) Ward, Sue (Michael) Young, Toni (Francis) Halblaub all of Newark, Archie Touvell of Heath; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a cousin, a niece and a nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eula Mae “Kitty” Prince; granddaughter, Wendy Edgerley; great grandchildren, Natasha Edgerley, James Edgerley; several aunts, uncles, a niece and a nephew.
