Harriet E. Damron's Obituary
Harriet E. Damron, 90, of Dresden, died Sunday morning, February 19, 2023 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 15, 1932 in Dresden, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Jones) Lacy. Harriet was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Dresden and enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning what she grew.
Surviving is a son, Ben (Peggy) Damron of Dresden; a daughter, Barbara Damron of Dresden; three grandchildren, Lori (Andy) Miller, Stacey (Doug) Buzard, and Nic Damron; two great-grandchildren, Shaye (Mitchell) Markley and Hannah Miller; a great-great-granddaughter, Amelia Markley, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “June” Damron Jr., who died December 14, 2018; a great-grandson, Michael Buzard; five brothers, John, Carl, Everett, Harrison, and Virgil Lacy; and three sisters, Evelyn Marvin, Dorothy Shroyer, and Ethel Smythe.
Friends and family may call from 3:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Dresden Chapel Vensil and Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, February 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Dresden, 801 Chestnut Street, with Mr. Frosty Pierce officiating.
Harriet will be laid to rest next to her husband, Robert at Dresden Cemetery.
