Goldie E. Ritchie's Obituary
A funeral service for Goldie E. Ritchie, 71 of Newark will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ritchie died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 19, 1941 in Sinking Springs, Ohio to the late Wayne and Dorothea “Granny” (Inlow) Garman. She was retired from Licking Memorial Hospital, Laundry Dept. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a 1959 graduate of Sinking Springs High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Tim) Shough of Newark; sons, Bruce L. (Jamie Egleston) Garman, Sr. of Newark, Gary D. (Becky) Garman of Hebron; sisters, Nellie Morton and Mary Anna Garman both of Newark; several grandchildren including Phillip Estep, that she was very close; many great grandchildren and special friend Cricket.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin A. Ritchie; three brothers, Alan White, Bill Garman and Howard Garman.
Calling hours will be observed 10a.m. to noon and 4p.m. to 7p.m. Wednesday at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
