Glynn E. Palmer's Obituary
A funeral service for Glynn E. Palmer, 76 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Palmer died Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Hilliard at the home of his caregiver, Diane Lewis. He was born January 4, 1940 in Columbus to the late Robert V. and Edna E. (Shier) Palmer. A graduate of South High School, he worked as a welder at Walker Manufacturing and served honorably as a medic in the U.S Navy. He enjoyed model cars,drag racing and playing cards.
He is survived by extended family and friends, Mary Ann (Susie) Sorden and ten first cousins of the Shier family, June Perone, Diane Lewis and family, Judy and family, Carrie and Jeremy and family, Mark O'Hara and friends at Mark O'Hara Raceway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita L. (Brownfield) Palmer, September 19, 2009 and a sister in-law, Lois Bryer.
Friends and family may call one hour prior to the funeral service at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
