Gary Alden Mays' Obituary
Gary Alden Mays, 76 of Newark died Monday, July 20, 2020 at Newark Health and Rehabilitation. He was born March 21, 1944 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Alden Jenkins and Helen Frances (Sims) Mays. Gary served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, discharged in 1963. He worked as a technician in the fields of Audio Visual and Computer Technology. Throughout his lifetime he always loved riding a bicycle. He enjoyed attending bike rallies and playing pool.
Survivors include his brothers, William (Victoria) Mays of Newark and David (Lucinda) Mays of Heath; and a sister, Sharon Mays Bryant of Merrimac, MA.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by sisters, Judith Heatwole and Linda Miller.
A celebration of Gary’s life will take place at a later date.
