Garnett Rose Lewis' Obituary
Garnett Rose Lewis, 87, of Newark passed away peacefully February 8th, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 28, 1937 in Granville Township to the late Rueben Leon and Mabel Christina (Piper) Watkins.
Garnett was a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother. A 1955 graduate of Granville High School, where she met the love of her life, Ed "Sonny" Lewis who preceded her in death. A lifelong Methodist by faith, Garnett was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newark.
Garnett is survived by her children; Chris (Randy), Tami (Steve) and Pam; grandchildren, Melissa, Brian, Eric, Jenna, Rachel, and Kara. As well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Private entombment will take place at Newark Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or First United Methodist Church of Newark.
