Frank Messina's Obituary
Newark: Frank Messina, 89 of Newark died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Licking Memorial Hospital. Frank was born May 13, 1922 in Newark to the late Joseph and Mary Grace (Amicone) Messina.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was self-employed most of his life working as an independent contractor. Frank was a former member of the Heath Eagles. He was an avid drummer and enjoyed playing the drums at church. He was a member of the Bible Temple of God.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Marshana of Newark; Donna Ross of Newark; a son, Jeff (Debbie) Barch of Newark; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a son, Darrell; 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main St., Newark. The Licking County Veterans Alliance will provide Military Funeral Honors at 6:00 p.m.
