Frances L. Farmer's Obituary
A funeral service for Frances L. Farmer, 86 of Thornville, formerly of Newark will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.
Frances died Friday morning, August 5, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 9, 1935 in Newark, OH to the late Frank and Myrtle (Zornes) Spaulding. A graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School, Mrs. Farmer worked as a Home Health Aid. She was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.
Survivors include her children, Robert Farmer, Christopher Farmer, Thomas (Ginny) Farmer, David Farmer, Michael Farmer and Rebecca West; brothers, Michael (Sue) Spaulding, Dick Spaulding; a sister, Rusty (Harold) Hedrick; a sister in-law, Rosemary (Gordon) Clippinger; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Farmer, August 24, 2009; a son, James Farmer; a daughter in-law, Paula Farmer; two brothers, Gerald Spaulding and Steve Spaulding; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Megan.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2022 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME – NEWARK CHAPEL, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
