A funeral service celebrating the life of Floyd E. “Jay” Crouch, Jr., 63 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Chaplain Greg Rosser officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. The service will be live streamed at https://webcasts.lifetributes.com/1185119 .
Jay passed away Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 25, 1958 in Waynesboro, VA to Floyd E. and Mary Jean (Carter) Crouch. He was a self-employed contractor who proudly operated J. Crouch Construction. He cherished his wife, and he always put family first. His dad was his hero; they shared their love of work and enjoyed their time spent in the Virginia Mountains.
In addition to his parents, Floyd and Jean Crouch, survivors include his loving wife, Deborah (Williams) Crouch, whom he married, July 2, 1999; children, Floyd E. Crouch, III., Timothy Dawson, Karen (Bronson) Bowman, Karmen (Joe) Warner and Brandy (Joe) Thompson; grandchildren, Stella, Gwen, Emma and Tripp; a sister, Patricia (Mark) Lane; and aunt, Doni (Wayne) Batton.
Friends and family may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
