Faith K Martin's Obituary
A funeral service for Faith K. Martin, 92 of Newark will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin died December 9, 2013 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. She was born October 22, 1921 to the late Henry and Anna (Applegate) Barlow.
Mrs. Martin worked at Larson Manufacturing for 27 years and served as Union President. She also worked as a Property Manager for Showe Builders for several years. Mrs. Martin was an active member of Eastside Church of the Nazarene for many years. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was very active in her grandchildren's lives. She enjoyed attending sporting events, Birthday parties, and talking with them about their lives.
Survivors include her husband, George W. Martin, whom she married in 1975; a daughter, Rose (Susie) Richardson; grandchildren, Kim (Glenn) Hartman, Mark (Christine) Johnson, Michael (Jessica) Frye, Kristi (Steve) Woolard, Matthew (Jennifer) Eckard, Lora Smith, and Jason Eckard; great grandchildren, Jon (Sharon) Stuck, Olivia Johnson, Cory Johnson, Darius Frye, Ian Frye, Brad Woolard, Bret Woolard, Cody Satterfield, Tyler Eckard, Kiley Eckard, Olivia Smith, Noah Smith; great-great grandson, Brody Stuck; a special cousin, Jean Carr; and a special friend, Shirley Woolard.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first Husband of 35 years, Virgil E. Johnson, Sr., whom she married in 1939; a son, Virgil E. Johnson, Jr.; a sister, Ruth Nunziata; and a nephew, Harry Johnson.
Friends and family may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
