Evelyn B. Miller's Obituary
Evelyn B. Miller, 91, of Newark, Ohio (Toboso) died Monday evening, October 22, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.
Born August 11, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Henry and Herta (Krupp) Held. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a farm wife assisting her late husband in the operation of their farm near Toboso and raising their six children. She was an avid canasta and rummy player, she was active in 4-H while her children were growing up and more recently she was active at the Senior Center at Zerger Hall in Newark. Surviving are three sons, Roger (Cathy) Miller and Ross (Deborah) Miller both of Newark and Ron Miller of Zanesville; three daughters, Melanie Mellars and Judith Martin both of Florida and Lois (Pat) Lebold of Newark; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Miller whom she married August 15, 1946 and who died November 26, 1994, and a brother, Harvey Held.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, October 26, 2012 at the funeral home with Margaret Miller officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
