Evelyn V. Haynes' Obituary
A graveside funeral service will be held for Evelyn Haynes, 86 of Newark on Friday March 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor Noel Dear officiating.
Mrs. Haynes went home to be with Jesus on Monday March 9, 2015. She was born September 9, 1928 in Zanesville to the late George W. and Sarah Ellen (Campbell) Hina.
Evelyn had been employed by Newark Stove, The Advocate and Hallmark. She was a 40 year member of the First Baptist Church of Heath and the Young at Heart group. She was a graduate of Newark High School and a member of the 46ers. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. She loved to work jigsaw puzzles, and word searches. She loved flowers, and feeding and watching the birds. She was a woman of great faith and was always reading the Bible and sharing her faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Giles and Rodney Speelman of Newark, Sherry (Gene) Carter of Newark, Kim (Eric) Dickover of Heath; son, Tim Haynes and Karen Blackstone of Nashport; grandchildren, Brandon (Andria) Haynes, Jenny Dunlap, Whitney (Tristan) Wolford, Adam Dickover; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Elizabeth and Malachi Dunlap, Natalie Wolford; sister, Betty McCormick of Newark and niece Tammy McCrillis of Heath.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Thomas Haynes.
Calling hours will be observed Friday March 13, 2015 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
