Emerson D. Holman, 95, of Newark, Ohio died Tuesday morning, August 4, 2020 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark. Born December 17, 1924 in Killbuck, Ohio he was the son of the late Russell Read Obituary
I’m very sorry to hear of Emerson’s passing. I’m the granddaughter of Forrest & Ruth Moran who were very good friends with Emerson & Elojean. Ruth (Morgan) and Elojean were cousins also.
In researching genealogy and going through old family photos, I found Emerson & Elojean’s wedding photo including my grandparents who were their attendants. I will try to get this to the Holman family.

I wish to offer Our condolences on the passing of Emerson. I am the Grandson of the late G.H. Holman and Edna Holman formerly of Nashport. I remember Uncle Russel and Aunt Vernice and had met Emerson, though I was just a kid. I recall , when Mom (Dorothy (Holman) Sceurman) and I visited ,Uncle Russel showing Me his little stationary engines and Aunt Vernice's hospitality. These are the kind of good times memories to recall of Emerson to help you through this time of sorrow. We met Emerson and Elojean at the Perryton Church of Christ. They both truly had the gift of hospitality and loved the Lord and His people through and through. Such genuine Christians who have touched a multitude of lives. They were so kind to our children and have left an indelible impression on their lives as well. They had a spirit of compassion, caring for their parents in their later years and always spoke of their children and grandchildren with that twinkle of joy in their eye. We are so blessed to call them brother and sister in Christ.

I met Emerson when I was in grade school when my older brother played football with Curt. He was alway friendly and never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He will be missed by anybody who ever met him. My prayers are with all of you
