Edith L. Miller's Obituary
Edith L. Miller, 89, of Nashport, Ohio died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at her home.
Born November 10, 1925 near Graysville, Ohio in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late John Dillon, Jr. and Ollie Mae (Cline) Dillon. Edith was a 1943 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and a member of the Perryton Church of Christ. She was very active in Eastern Star and was a member of Olive Branch Chapter #251, OES at Duncan Falls with over 70 years of service. She was a Past Worthy Matron and a Past Grand Representative.
Surviving are four sons, Charles Peach of Newcomerstown, Ohio; Richard (Teresa Thornhill) Peach of Nashport, Kenneth J. (Diane) Miller of Nashport and Wayne Miller of Zanesville; one daughter, Marsha Allen of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; eleven grandchildren; several step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald Dillon of Newark, Ohio, John (Paula) Dillon of Nashport, Gary Dillon of Newark and Larry (Linda) Dillon of Pataskala, Ohio; four sisters, Alice Dillon of Newark, Agnes Waisner of The Colony, Texas; Hazel (Harrison) Underwood of Bluffton, Ohio and Sue Gardner of Nashport; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Kenneth Miller on January 12, 1996; a daughter, Joyce Marion on October 12, 1992; a brother Carl Dillon and two sisters, Helen Miller and Marilyn Underwood.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Olive Branch Chapter #251, OES will conduct Eastern Star services at 7:45pm Sunday.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, January 12, 2015 at the funeral home with Minister Ray Linn officiating. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery.
