Earl E. Wiley, Sr.'s Obituary
A celebration of life service for Earl E. Wiley, Sr. 68 of Newark will be held at a later date.
Mr. Wiley passed away surrounded by his family Saturday November 10, 2018 at Morrison House operated by Genesis Hospice.
He was born August 8, 1950 to Earl R. and Rita M. (King) Wiley in Newark.
Earl had been employed by Licking-Knox Counties Goodwill Industries. He enjoyed computer games, repairing televisions and the chatter on CB radios. He also liked spending time working on cars. His favorite time was spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon S. (Modesitt) Wiley, whom he married May 27, 1970; children, Thomas (Debbie Shaffer) Wiley, Christina (Keith) Hartshorn, Earl E. (Michelle) Wiley, Jr. all of Newark; grandchildren, Brittany Wiley, Rita (Bryon) Hecker, Makayla Wiley, Christopher Garven, Gladys Wiley, Tomya Wiley all of Newark; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Hailey, Ian Eisenbach, Jared, Austin, Ellyzabeth Hecker, Kelan, Riley Vincent; brothers, H. Paul (Sherry) Wiley of Howard, OH, Harold (Teresa) Wiley of Newark; sisters, Pam (Tom) Perkins, Sr. of Newark, Golda Gauley of Canada; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a close friend, Pete F. Doneff; son-in-law, Eara N. Garven.
