Earl D. Bevard's Obituary
A funeral service for Earl D. Bevard, 84 of Heath will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Skiles officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Earl died Monday May 9, 2016 at the Kindred Transitional and Rehabilitation Center of Newark. He was born August 15, 1931 in Newark to Chester Allen and Nellie (Westbarger) Bevard.
He retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1983 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Kaiser Retirees. He was a member of Cox United Methodist Church since 1954 having served in many capacities including trustee, Sunday school teacher and choir member. He currently was attending the Heath Christian Union Church. Earl was a private pilot and an accomplished musician. He enjoyed motorcycling, water sports and traveling in their motor coach during retirement. Golf was a passion for many years. Family life was his most loved past time.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Barbara A. (Wooles) Bevard, whom he married April 14, 1950; daughters; Kathleen D. (George) Duckett of Heath, Patricia Sue Martin of Newark, Anne Elizabeth Gilbert of Newark; son, Michael Dean (Robin) Bevard of Heath; grandchildren, Beth & Layne Wireman, Mike & Melissa Bevard, Steve & Heather Gilbert, Ben & Jessie Noland, Doug & Tonya Bevard, Jason & Lisa Gilbert, Daniel Noland, Beth & Jeremy Andrews, Timothy Martin, John Martin; great-grandchildren, Jake, Natalie, Meghan, Ty, Alexis, Gabe, Hope, Kailey, Caleb, Sage, Truman, Draven, Colton, Kaleb; brother, Edward (Almeda) Bevard of Heath.
Calling hours will be observed Saturday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at the Newark Chapel VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
