Douglas R. Stauffer's Obituary
A funeral service for Douglas R. Stauffer, 74 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor James Young officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stauffer died Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 15, 1942 in Newark to the late Warren L. and Alice G. (Chilcote) Stauffer.
Doug was employed by The Kreager Company and had formerly been with Scott Lumber. He was a 1960 graduate of Newark High School and attended Parsons School of Design in New York. Doug had worked throughout the United States and had returned to Newark to be near friends and family.
He is survived by his brother, David (MaryAnn) Stauffer of Frazeysburg; nieces, Kim (Bryan) McCormick of Dresden, Cheryl (Tim) Black of Germantown, MD; nephew, Mike (Margie) Stauffer of Xenia; and a cousin, Janet Marquis of Newark.
Friends may call 4 to 7p.m. Monday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or the Salvation Army.
