Dorothy J. Vandenbusche's Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service for Dorothy J. Vandenbusche, 81 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Vandenbusche died Saturday evening, January 8, 2011 at her home. She was born December 25, 1929 in Hanover to the late Orville and Carrie (Francis) Wright. A 1947 graduate of Newark High School, Mrs. Vandenbusche worked as a social worker at LEADS for 23 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and had served as a trustee. Mrs. Vandenbusche loved to travel. She had visited all 50 states and was especially fond of Alaska.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Eugene Vandenbusche, whom she married December 27, 1950; daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Kerns of Newark, Kathryn Baldeschwiler of Newark, Cheryl (Bill) Stewart of Columbus; grandchildren, Jennie (Tim) Morrison of Columbus, Billy (Erica) Sadowski of Colorado, Sarah Baldeschwiler of Newark, Joshua Stewart, Matthew Stewart and Ashley Stewart all of Columbus; a great grandson, Hunter Baldeschwiler; brothers, Orville Wright, Jr. and Richard Wright both of Newark; sisters, Marie (Harold) Gartner of Newark, and Helen Peele of Naples, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vandenbusche was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise Jones.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio or Second Baptist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
