Donald W. Morris' Obituary
Donald W. Morris, 65 of Newark died Wednesday evening, March 26, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 7, 1948 in Childress, TX to the late Oscar and Dena (Evans) Morris.
Mr. Morris honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. He was extremely proud of his service. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Collins) Morris, whom he married July 8, 2008; children, Donald W. Morris, Jr., Gilbert (Rita) Morris, and D. Michelle Andrews; step sons, Randy (Carmen) Bare, Earl Bare; a brother, Dennis (Ann) Morris; sisters, Darrell Jean Morris, Dale Jane (Curtis) Hoover; six grandchildren; two step grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian E. Morris.
Friends and family may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
