Donald D. Broceus' Obituary
Mr. Donald D. Broceus, 89, of Heath, entered Heaven's gates on April 7, 2025, at Mt. Carmel - East in Columbus. He was born on March 21, 1936, in Thornville, OH to the late Herman Marshall and Frances Pearl (Franks) Broceus.
A graduate of Jacksontown High School, Mr. Broceus devoted over forty years as a Press Operator with PCA, formerly Georgia-Pacific. Throughout his life, Don cherished his animals, delighted in sweets, and was known for his engaging stories about the journey he lived.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47yrs, Janice (Wells) Broceus; children, Doug (Renee) Broceus, Melody Field, Michelle (Dean) Foster, and Allison Broceus-Wells; grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Ryan) Williams, Aaron Bartsch, Natalie (Ben) Lorenz, Ashley(Roman) Jimenez, Jeremy (Tracey) Field, Josh (Crystal) Field, Nicole Broceus, Jarrod Broceus, DJ (Nicole) Foster, James Foster, and eleven great-grandchildren. Donald was very loved and cherished by his family, and will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Broceus.
Friends and family may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. No need to dress up-Donald didn't do fancy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home | Newark, with Pastor Tom Pound officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
