David M. "Mike" Thompson's Obituary
A visitation for David M. ‘Mike” Thompson, 60 of Hebron will be held Saturday May 10, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson died Monday May 5, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born February 27, 1954 in Newark to the late Clarence and Billie (Fogeerty) Thompson.
He was a 1972 graduate of Newark High School. He had been employed as a mechanic at Walker & Battat Ford, service manager at the K Mart Auto Center in Zanesville and most recently repairing autos and small engines from his home. He enjoyed cars, guns, woodworking and fishing. His favorite vacations were trips to the beach. He most enjoyed time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Diane (Price) Thompson whom he married on May 6, 1978; daughter and fiancée Jennifer Thompson & Josh Galigher of Frazeysburg; son, Troy ( Michelle) Thompson of Newark; grandchildren, Katherine Dixon, Hannah Dixon, Carter Thompson; sister Linda (Malcolm) Carter of Dade City FL.
