David Allen King's Obituary
David Allen King, beloved husband, father, gramps walked home in his Glorified body, just like he said he would, and met Jesus face to face, Thursday evening, March 17, 2022.
Born December 17, 1950 in Zanesville, he was a son of the late Lester King and Dorothy (Landaker) King and was a 1968 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Dave retired after 47 years from Casting Solutions (Burnham Foundry) however has continued working as an employee. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Buckeyes and the Bengals. Wednesdays, he was in charge of Bogey’s Golf League at Vista View Golf Course for several years. Dave was a member of the American Legion Post 399 and attended Faith Life Church in New Albany.
Surviving is his loving wife of the home, Lynn E. (Powell) King; three children, Amy King of Florida, Jody (Kenneth) Doll of Roseville and Kelly King of Dresden; five grandchildren, Jordan, Cory, Katelyn, Dakota, and Michael; six great grandchildren, Kinslee, Ethen, Sophia, Mia, Ella and Faith; siblings, Sharon, Judy, Cindy and Terry plus several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Frank and Margaret Powell.
Friends and family may call from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Funeral service will be held Sunday evening at 4:00pm with Pastor Bobby Shaw officiating.
