David E. Farmer, Sr. 78 of Newark passed away May 31, 2025 at his residence.
He was born February 9, 1947 in Newark to William A. Farmer, Sr and Mary Louise (Sprague) Farmer-Rutter.
David was a former employee of Carnival Foods. He enjoyed fishing. He also was an active bowler, having played on many leagues. His favorite pastime was spending time at family events.
Survivors include his children, David E. (Darlene) Farmer, Jr. of Mansfield, Eleisha A. Charles of Newark, Kevin A. Farmer of Obetz; grandchildren, Preston Farmer, Janelle Farmer, Jordan Farmer Adams & Zachary Adams, Arianna McGuire, Marty Bateman, Candace Charles, Brian Charles, Breanna Farmer, Brice Farmer, Kadence Farmer; great-grandchildren, Jaycen Box, Sylas Box, Rowyn Box, Terryn Farmer, Zoey Adams, June Adams, Ella Adams, Alivia Charles, Mickey Nicole Charles, Scarlett Charles, Zaiden Charles and sister-in-law, Mary Farmer of Newark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Yates) Farmer; brother, William A. Farmer, Jr.; son in-law, Mickey Charles; and granddaughter, Cassandra Farmer.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate David's life will take place in the Banquet Room at Park Lanes, 701 Hopewell Drive, Heath, OH 43056. Those attending are encouraged to bring a covered dish.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association or Capital City Hospice.
