Mr. Broyles was my principal when I started at Newton elementary in kindergarten in the year 2000. I have just faint memories of him, but he always had a smile on his face, he was a fun guy and me feel safe and welcomed. And yes I do remember him riding his Harley Davidson to school lol!! My prayers go out to his wife and family. May God be with you all ❤️
Mr Broyels was a one of a kind he loved his job and working with children he was the sweetest and kindest man and always made every child feel wanted i use to call him burt reynolds reject i nicked name him that when I was in elementary school in hebron he use to look so much like burt reynolds and I use to bring him dum dum suckers because he loved them so much my deepest condolences to all the family and friends you are all in my thoughts and prayers
Over the years, Dale and I took many exercise classes together at the YMCA. This started with step aerobics at Garfield in 1995 when I was 9 months pregnant and he was always sure to set up next to me and make sure I was doing okay. He always remembered me and had a way to brighten my day each time I saw him over the decades.
My prayers of peace and strength are with his family, as I have no doubt he is greatly missed. May we all leave this world a better place, as Dale most certainly did.
Ben and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I don’t have any specific stories but there is one thing I remember about him. Your dad always smiled and asked me how I was doing when I saw him. He had no idea how much it meant to me; that he cared enough to ask etc.
You were blessed to have such a wonderful father/husband. I know you find peace in that.

He was my Middle School teacher along with Miss Davis. One of my favorites for sure! He was a fair and funny teacher and mentor. He was a great addition to Lakewood and I am honored to be able to say I was one of his students. Prayers for his family and to all that knew him or have fond memories like I do of him. He will be missed.
