Cindy was a lioness, whether teaching her birth children or the children in her classes, Cindy was in charge, setting boundaries for their safety and security. Making their lives safer with knowledge of how the world is meant to work, with her teaching and example as a Godly woman, and most especially, with her love. Just a a feline lioness roars and purrs to speak to her pride and cubs, Cindy’s clear voice and delightful laughter signaled her children, students, and friends alike as to which choices were wise, which to avoid, and which paths to take. We who knew and loved Cindy benefitted from her wise counsel and will miss her soft giggles, chuckles, and that head-thrown-back, opened mouth, contagious laughter. We were blessed to be her cubs and members of her pride. Loving God, we thank you for giving us Cindy. Amen.
