Christi "Chicki" Cook-Csaky's Obituary
Christi L. "Chicki" Cook-Csaky, 46, of Henrico, Virginia, formerly of Johnstown and Dresden, Ohio, died Sunday evening, October 4, 2015, at her home.
Born May 6, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Charles Cook, and Suzanne Lindsey Jenkins of Dresden. Chicki was a 1987 graduate of Northridge High School, where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. She was a self-employed event planner, and was previously employed by the Longaberger Company. Chicki was Christian by faith, and she enjoyed tennis and being a mother to her daughter Alex. As a member of the Virginia Rotary Club and the Henrico Business Council, her volunteer work included the Virginia Opera, Meals On Wheels, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, among other organizations.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her daughter, Alexandra Csaky; her fiance, David Russell of Charlotte, North Carolina; four sisters, Cathi Pentella of Newark, Ohio, Lori Roberts of Westerville, Ohio, Jennifer (Greg) Lupo of Sugar Grove, Ohio, and Candace Cook of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; brother, Charlie Cook, of Carnegie, Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Ellis.
Chicki was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry B. Amos, and her stepfather, Ohmer Jenkins.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Monday, October 12, 2015, at the Dresden chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the Dresden First Baptist Church, 801 Chestnut Street, with Pastor Joe Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
