Charles H. Lane's Obituary
A funeral service for Charles H. Lane, 80 of Newark will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bob Pierpoint officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lane died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born March 11, 1935 in Richwood, OH to Delbert and Helen (Forrider) Lane.
He retired from Brown Distributing after 15 years as a truck driver. He had driven for several other local trucking firms. He was a member of Licking Aerie #387 F.O.E. He enjoyed camping, solving word puzzles and listening to country music. His favorite times were spent with family and friends. His grandchildren especially brightened his spirit.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. (Martin) Lane, on April 5, 2015; brothers, Frank Lane, Bernard Lane; sisters, Jennie Lane, Marie Lane; children, Johnny Penick, Sharon O’Reilly; granddaughter, Stephanie Conley.
Calling hours will be observed Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street. Eagles will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.
