Charles W. Cashdollar's Obituary
A memorial service for Charles W. Cashdollar, 77 of Newark will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Newark Chapel Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor James Young officiating.
Mr. Cashdollar died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1939 in Newark to William Herbert and Mary Catherine (Layman) Cashdollar.
He was a 1957 graduate of Newark High School. He retired in 2006 after nearly 30 years from Ross IGA as the manager of the meat department. He had also worked for 23 years in the meat department of DeWeese Brothers. He was a member of the Maple Avenue Christian Union Church, Newark Bowling Association. He served as a commissioner at Mound City Little League and also a coach. He was an active supporter of the Licking County 4-H Band. He was a fan of all the Ohio professional ball clubs and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a devoted grandfather and attended all his grandchildren’s activities.
His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda (Wolfe) Cashdollar; children, Kathryn L. White, Christopher W. Cashdollar all of Newark; grandchildren, 1st Class Earl Wray (Jenna) White of PA, Eric William White of Newark, Dominique W. Cashdollar of GA; great-granddaughters, Sophie W. White, Sadie W. White; sister, Ruth A. Cashdollar of Newark; brother, Jerry J. (Sharon) Cashdollar of Newark; two nieces; a great-niece and a great-nephew.
Visitation will be observed Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Maple Avenue Christian Union Church.
