Charlene G. Burrell's Obituary
A funeral service for Charlene G. Burrell, 87 of Mineral City formerly Johnstown will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes with Pastor Cindee Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown.
Mrs. Burrell died Monday, October, 20, 2014 at her daughter’s home. She was born February 19, 1927 in Columbus to John D. and Hazel M. (Haughn) Evans.
She was a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women Mary Circle, O.E. S. Juanita Chapter and Twig 22. She was a devoted mother and wife helping on the family farm. She loved being with her family and especially her great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene J. Burrell of Mineral City; granddaughter, Heather R. Galbraith and fiancée Jason Ely; great-granddaughter, McKinnley Romans; brother, Norman Evans of Johnstown and special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon J. Burrell in 2004; sisters, Juanita Clark and Christine Webb.
Visitation will be observed Friday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
The family requests memorial contributions in Charlene’s memory to the Johnstown United Methodist Church, 159 S. Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio 43031.
