Chad Michael Baker's Obituary
A funeral service for Chad Michael Baker, 34 of Newark will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at Noon in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor David Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be observed Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour before services on Friday at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street.
Chad died Friday, May 29, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born June 1, 1980 in Newark, Ohio.
Chad is survived by his mother and step–father, Melanie (Melton) and Robert Cowdery of Thornville; father and step-mother, Jeffery and Renee Baker of Newark; fiancée, Katie “Katrina’; children, Jordan Baker, Brendan Baker, Brielle Baker, Ryleigh Carlin; step-children, Beeman Boyd, Zalyn Hanzey all of Newark; siblings, Scott (Brandy) Baker of Newark, Saira (Derek) West of Upper Arlington, Jeremy (Sara) Cowdery of Newark, Bryan Cowdery of Circleville, Jeremy (Jen) Clem of Nashport; father and step-mother in-law, Mike (Cindy) Offenburger of Newark; mother and step-father-in-law, Libby (Jim) Littleton of Piketon; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Beth (Mike) Anderson of Newark, Mike (Courtney) Offenburger of Johnstown, Jim (Annette) Crozier of Newark, Jason Crozier of Newark; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; best friends, Aaron Campbell of Newark, Tim Stufflebean of Newark, Scott Romei of Granville; his dog Tink.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard (Patricia) Melton, Jesse (Mildred) Baker.
Chad was employed by Frank Romei and Sons Plumbing as an apprentice plumber. He had attended Lakewood High School and COTC.
Chad was blessed with a charming personality, infectious laugh, contagious smile and a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and called everyone Billy. He was a friend to everyone who knew him. He believed true friendship isn’t about being inseparable, it’s about being separated and nothing changes. He was the favorite uncle to every niece and nephew. He loved Jordan Shoes, The Ohio State Buckeyes, LeBron James, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, but most of all his family always came first.
