Carolyn S. Cross' Obituary
A funeral service for Carolyn S. Cross, 58 of Hebron will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross died Friday April 10, 2015 at the Autumn Health Care of Newark. She was born December 11, 1956 in Newark to the late John and Gladys (Redman) Schooler.
Carolyn was active in the Racers for Christ, Kids Club. She was a former nurse’s aide at Newark Health Care Centre. She enjoyed solving Word Search puzzles. Her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robin E. Cross, Jr., whom she married October 25, 1975; son, Robin E. and Jenny Cross, III; grandchildren, Brooklyn Cross, Jacob Bebout, Brookelyn, Bebout, Jeffrey Sliker, Justin Sliker, Cayden Vermilion, Lyric Vermilion; sisters, Donna Schooler Dunlap, Louise (Jeff) Lohrman, Patricia Schooler; Nona (Rick) Gayheart; brothers, Robert Schooler, Sr., John (Diane) Schooler; brother and sister-in laws, Nellie Robson, Jim & Loretta Six, John & Joan Davis, Ron & Evie Cross, Mary Kirkhart; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-brother, William Dunlap; father & mother-in-law, Robin & Wilma Cross, Sr.
Friends and family may call 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
