Carol L. Guanciale's Obituary
Carol L Guanciale, 73 of Newark passed away Monday morning, November 10, 2025 at The Brooke of The Inn at SharonBrooke after an almost 6-year battle against dementia. Carol was born on February 12, 1952 in Newark, Ohio to the late Ross and Kathleen (Egan) Lewis.
She was involved with many non-profit organizations over the years and Carol had a very tender heart in promoting organizations helping children.
Carol is survived by her husband, Patrick D. Guanciale; son, Andrew P. Guanciale and daughter in-law, Jillian Guanciale; and the most important person in her world, her grandson, Luke A. Guanciale. Also surviving are her sisters, Barbara (Ray) Sardy and Beth (Drone) Hudson; sisters and brothers in-law, Tina (Chip) Taft, Dino (Tina) Guanciale and Robin (Tom) Flaherty; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Church with Fr. Mike Gentry, celebrant. Carol was laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The Guanciale's want to express thankfulness to all the tremendous aids, administrators and all of Carol's new friends at SharonBrooke's memory care unit. We thank you and all of you will be missed.
In honor of Carol's life memorial donations may be made to the Newark Catholic Foundation (NCHS Foundation - Newark Catholic High School) and/or the Licking Memorial Foundation (Licking Memorial Health Systems - About LMHS).
