Carol A. Hawkins' Obituary
Carol A. Hawkins, 72 of rural Thurston passed away Monday morning, June 20, 2016 at her home. She was born August 15, 1943 in Newark, OH to the late James F. and Madeline F. (Clark) Heaton.
Mrs. Hawkins worked as an Executive Assistant at Franklin International. Additionally she worked at Alliance Data and operated Farmers Restaurant in Utica. She was a member of Woodside Presbyterian Church in Newark.
Survived by her husband of 40 years, Wayne Hawkins; daughter, Michele DeNight of Newark; step-children, David (Linda) Hawkins of Newark, Rob Hawkins and Anita Sawyer, both of Somerset; a granddaughter, Shellise (Adam) Toporski-Martin of Bay City, MI; great–grandchildren, Lia and Austin Martin; a brother, Edward (Esther) Heaton of Newark; extended family members, Kim Williams of Reynoldsburg, and John Williams of Columbus; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, NEWARK CHAPEL, 1850 W. Main St., Newark, OH.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Judith Baker and Pastor Don Clokey officiating.
