Carol J. Carlisle's Obituary
A memorial service for Carol J. Carlisle, 83 of Newark will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday July 19, 2018 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Hottinger officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be observed one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Carlisle died Sunday July 15, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1934 in Newark to Robert Wilden and Katherine (Ruton) Wilden-Barrett.
She had been employed by W.T. Grant and HER Realtors. She was a member of Cox United Methodist Church. She was active in the church choir, United Methodist Women, Wednesday Bible Study and share group. She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army. She was a member of the Ladies Red Hats group. She enjoyed time spent with her family and the holidays.
Survivors include her children, Louis S. Hideg of Newark, Denise Low of Colorado Springs, CO, Debra (Michael) Ewing of Newark, Greg Hideg (Teresa D. Spurgeon) of Newark, Waite (Jo) Carlisle of Newark, Robert Carlisle, II.(Melissa Taylor) of Pickerington; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Molly K. (Richard) Widdis of Ft. Myers, FL; brothers, Stephen (Theresa) Barrett of St. Louisville, Dennis (Sandi) Barrett of Newark; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Carlisle; step-father, Maurice Barrett; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
