Carl was a great teacher and a great firefighter. Always had a great sense of humor. Dearly miss him. Rip Pal

Carl was selfless in his commitment to the community. Whether it was through teaching, working with the fire department, putting on fireworks displays or serving with the Coast Guard, he definitely was one of those people who made a difference. And always with a smile on his face! My senior year chemistry class at TVHS surely was anything but boring. That’s what everyone loved about him - he made learning fun! My condolences and prayers to Carl’s family.
Mr. Harlan definitely made Freshman science interesting.
