Bryce L. Samples' Obituary
A funeral service for Bryce L. Samples, 80 of Granville will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Heath with Pastor Noel Dear officiating. Burial will be in New England Cemetery, Stewart, OH.
Bryce passed away peacefully Thursday, April 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was born Aug 28, 1935 to Pearl Samples Morey of Barlow, OH and graduated from Waterford High School. He served with the U.S. Army from 1953-1956 and was honorably discharged. He married Joanne (Chambers) Samples on April 5, 1958 and attended Ohio University in Athens, OH. Bryce was employed by the USAF as a civil service computer manager at the Air Force Base in Heath, OH for many years. Bryce and Joanne faithfully attended and served at First Baptist Church of Heath for over fifty years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne Samples; son and daughter in-law, Russ and Darla Samples; daughter, Crystal Samples; and son, Randy Samples. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mistie Hart, Stephanie Matthews, Del Little, Courtney Weiser, Jay Samples, Seth Parker and Corben Parker; and several great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the church, 525 S. 30th Street, Heath.
