Brenda Kay Board's Obituary
Brenda Kay Board, 69 of Newark died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.
Brenda was born June 17, 1956 in Newark, OH to the late Robert and Gretta (Van Ostren) Rutter. Brenda enjoyed collecting Heisey glassware, doing puzzles, crafts, shopping, and sewing, She loverd her Bible a poem that she always carried with her:
May God grant you always a sun beam to warm you a moon beam to charm you a sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you laughter to cheer you, faithful friends near you and whatever you pray heaven to hear you,
Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, April and Jamie Sabo; daughter in-law Debbie Doherty; sons, Chad Elliott (Melton); a brother, Robert Rutter; sisters, Phyllis West, Chris Kidd, Suzie Barncord and Penny Huerta; grandchildren, Ashely Sabo, Douglas Elliott, Brian Elliott jr, Kelsy Hess; a great grandchild, Kendrick Hess; and many nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Board; a son, Brian Elliott; brothers, Kevin Rutter, Travis Rutter, Keith Rutter; a sister, Diana Rutter; and good friends, Mike Nelson and Barb McMahen.
Private interment took place at Wilson Cemetery.
