Betty L. Gard's Obituary
A funeral service celebrating the life of Betty L. Gard, 64 of Kirkersville will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Amanda Olson officiating.
Betty passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East. She was born September 5, 1953 to the late Roy E. Flowers and Ruth (Fairall) Flowers of Kirkersville.
A 1971 graduate of Watkins Memorial High School, Betty worked as a Chiropractor's Assistant for Schone Chiropractic Center, Teachers Aide for Southwest Licking Schools and a preschool teacher. Family was most important to Betty. She could always be found at every event her children or grandchildren were a part of. She always put everyone else first.
In addition to her mother, Betty is survived by her husband, Randy S. Gard of Kirkersville; daughters, Stacey (Mike) Heffelfinger of Blacklick and Lindsay (Jason) Hileman of Pataskala; grandchildren, Chase, Abigail and Tristan; brothers, Larry (Patty) Flowers of Canal Winchester, Terry (Debbie) Flowers of Kirkersville, and Randy (Susie) Flowers of Reynoldsburg; a sister, Linda Flowers of Kirkersville; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family may call Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME – NEWARK CHAPEL, 1850 W. Main St., Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
