Bette Jane Bixler's Obituary
According to her wishes, a private graveside funeral service for Bette Jane Bixler, 84 of Newark will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at Lutheran Cemetery with Pastor Thomas Olson officiating.
Bette died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Heath Nursing Care Center. She was born June 16, 1930 in Hebron to William and Ada (Roley) Pendelton.
Bette was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was very active in church activities and a former Sunday school teacher. She was a former member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed canning, sewing and caring for her vegetable and flower gardens. She was an accomplished fisherwomen. She was known for her loving, caring, positive attitude and sharing her faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Randy) Becker of Jacksontown; grandchildren, Wesley Arledge and Janie Arledge both of Newark; sisters, Nancy (Phil) Rey of Utica, Jean Lloyd of Bradenton, FL; ex son-in-law, Marty Arledge of Newark; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Irene Bixler.
