I did not know Bernice personally, but she was important in my life. In 1980, my son (a senior at NHS) and I attended several workshop sessions on Calligraphy, taught by Bernice. Calligraphy turned out to be one of my favorite hobbies!!
In 2013, I lettered the announcement of my granddaughter's wedding which my son developed into very lovely invitations.
I'm glad for that connection with her. I noticed
in the obituary that we were the same age. This
must be a sad time for her family, but remember
the happy times to help ease the pain.
