Beatrice "Bea" L. Smith's Obituary
A funeral service for Beatrice “Bea” Smith, 88 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Hanover Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sarah Juist officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. A luncheon at the church will follow the committal service.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Sharon Brooke. She was born March 13, 1930 in Hanover to the late Howard and Ruth (Jenkins) McInturf. Bea was a long-time member of Hanover Presbyterian Church; she was a member of Eastern Star, Madison Twp. Fire Auxiliary, Antique Car Club of America and enjoyed visiting Florida.
Survivors include her nephew, Jeff Smith of Maumee, OH; a niece, Debra (Frank) Bevard of St. Louisville; a great niece, Tiffany (Anthony) Gutridge of Newark; and great-niece and nephews, Landon, Lillian and Aaron; her best friend, Mary Rine; friends, Wes and Dot Rine; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harold Eugene “Gene” Smith, whom she married July 3, 1949 and who died January 14, 2017; and a brother, Ralph McInturf.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
