Anne Marie Newcome's Obituary
Anne Marie Newcome, 82, of the Sun Valley Care Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. She had resided at the center since February of 2021.
Anne was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold W. Newcome and Ethel M. (Robison) Newcome. She graduated from Frazeysburg High School in 1960. Anne then attended Denison College in Granville, Ohio where she graduated in 1964. She worked for many years in X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine Departments in San Jose, California and in central Ohio. She retired from those professions and then worked at the Conesville Power Plant in Conesville, Ohio.
Anne loved the desert southwest and spent many years in Phoenix and Flagstaff Arizona, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, eating Italian and Mexican food, and spending time with friends and family around the country.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jo Ellen Newcome. Anne is survived by her youngest sister, Susie (Thomas) Fish of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
A memorial service for Anne will be 1:00pm Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. The Rev. Christopher Liberati of the Gay Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon will preside over the service.
