Amber D. Johnson's Obituary
A funeral service for Amber D. Johnson, 51 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Amber died suddenly October 18, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born November 19, 1965 in Columbus, OH. A graduate of Newark High School and she attended COTC; Amber was a devoted mother and caretaker. She was a “people person”; a supporter of pet adoption; and she had a keen interest in photography and art.
Survivors include her mother, Janis J. Hurst of Newark; sons, Cory Nethers and Jake Johnson, both of Newark; a sister, Angela (Patrick) Winchell of Lewis Center; a brother, James Hurst, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Trae Nethers, Kiana Nethers and Scarlet Nethers; and several nieces and nephews.
Amber was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Hurst.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, SW, Heath, OH 43056; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
