Agnes T. Dennis' Obituary
A Celebration of Life service for Agnes T. Dennis, 79 of Etna will be held at 11 a.m. Monday February 7, 2022 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Dennis passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born July 5, 1942 in Newark to Forrest D. and Catherine (Raftery) Smith.
Agnes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very strong willed person and an amazing cook. She enjoyed golfing at any opportunity. Lake Erie was her favorite travel destination. She was a devoted animal lover, caring for numerous pets. Her much loved pastime was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard O. Dennis; daughters, Tracy (Scott) Sauvey, Cheryl (Chris) Sena all of New Albany; grandchildren, Connor Sauvey, Sydney Sena, Jillian Sena; several brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol (Ronnie) McDonald, Sue (Benny) Smith, Mary (Dick) Mann, Peggy (Jim) Roelle, Nancy Blevins and Joy Garee.
A visitation will be observed from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday February 6, 2022 at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Man Street, Newark, OH.
